This is a documentary for Tak Takut Kids Club, a community children’s club in Singapore for children aged 7-14 from disadvantaged backgrounds. I wrote the script, filmed and interviewed facilitators and children.
The idea of spaces came about because TTKC works within various physical spaces that overlap and intersect and cumulatively become more than the sum of their parts. There is the TTKC maker space and TTKC cafe. here’s also the common corridor, the playground and the wider community that surrounds TTKC. These spaces are activated through planned programmes and spontaneous moments of play, allowing for meaningful interactions to occur.
